Biological activity:

(E)-Ferulicacid is an isomer of ferulic acid, an aromatic compound that is abundant in plant cell walls. (E)-Ferulicacid causes the phosphorylation of β-catenin, leading to proteasomal degradation, increasing the expression of the pro-apoptotic factor Bax and reducing the expression of the pro-survival factor Survivin. (E)-Ferulicacid can effectively remove reactive oxygen species (ROS) and inhibit lipid peroxidation. (E)-Ferulicacid exerts anti-proliferative and anti-migration effects in human lung cancer cell line H1299.

Purpose:

used for MALDI-MS matrix substances.
